Clean Install Problems

I took in a friends computer to do a back up and clean
install. Windows 98SE intstalls okay as do the LAN and
sound drivers for the motherboard.

The problem is when I try to install the AGP to PCI
driver, as soon as I reboot I get a message
saying "Windows protection error. You need to restart
your computer" and that's all it will do unless I start
it in safe mode.

The Control Panel = System = Device Manager shows an
AGP port but I can't install the drivers for the graphics
card. It's showing as a standard PCI device.

It's a Radeon 9200SE with an SIS Chipset on the m/b.

Reinstall the motherboard chipset drivers.
