Default Ethernet Connection Problems with IBM 600 Laptop

Hello,

I am having some Ethernet connection problems with my son's
Laptop. I have 3 other computers on my Lan: my wife's PC and two
Atari computers that I use. The strange this is that I can ping my
son's Laptop from the other three computers. I can also use my
son's computer and ping the other three computers. However, when I
try to run AOL or Internet Explorer on my son's laptop, I am told
there is no Internet connection. Any ideas???

I am thinking some important files were overwritten as I re-
installed Windows 98 because of all kinds of problems my son was
having. He tried to fix things and really screwed things up.
