Default The product "FlashTerminal" does NOT work with ADSL

Her_e is a copy of an e-mail received from_ the producers
of "Flash Terminal", which claims to
rival "HyperTerminal", and which may be of interest to
anyone considering_ installing "Flash Terminal" and a copy
(further down below) of part of my reply:

Technical support request

Hello!

Please could you let me know how Flash Terminal should

work (when set up
successfully). I cannot understand how it is intended

to connect to the
other computer using Direct Play. Is the connection

made by connecting to
the Internet and using the other computer's IP number.

How is the contact
made?

Flash Terminal connects to another computer with Flash
Terminal via
modem but without Internet, just like Hyper Terminal does.
The only
think you need is to enter phone number of another modem.
But... this
is the main problem in your case. I think, Flash Terminal
will not
work on ADSL modems. At least we hadn't ever tested it
with ADSL
modem. Sorry for inconvenience.

Technical support request

Hello Konstantin Artemev,

Thank you for your reply of 30/12/2004, 07:57.
....

In your latest e-mail you said:
"I think, Flash Terminal will not work on ADSL modems. At
least we hadn't ever tested it with ADSL
modem."

May I therefore invite you to consider removing all
references to Flash Terminal working with "ADSL" modems
that appear in your web-based documents (marked as
version "2.8", though the installation zip file was
called: "FlashTerminal 2_8.zip" and then installed as v.
4.2).

Here are copies of the extracts, as at 23.12.2004:

http://www.filetransit.com/view.php?id=20333
"you can chat and exchange files via modem (including
v.90, ISDN, ADSL, GPRS)"

http://www.qwertystudios.com
"transferring files and chatting via modem (including
v.90, ISDN, ADSL and GPRS)"

http://www.qwertystudios.com/ft/product.html#Overview
"Fast and secure file transferring over modem (including
ISDN, ADSL, GPRS)"

"Quick connection via modem (including ISDN, ADSL, GPRS)"

http://www.qwertystudios.com/ft/help...nection_dialog.
html
"If you want to connect via modem (including ISDN, ADSL,
GPRS)"

"If you have v.90 modem, ISDN or ADSL, select Excellent."

"(for example, almost all ADSL devices don't need phone
number)."

....
