Default How do I respond to "insert disk" when "setup" runs?

Every now and then something happens and I'm told to run "setup" again.
Sometimes "setup" says "insert disk." So far that hasn't been a problem,
but I want to know what to do if it becomes one.

I have an IBM A20m 2820 running W 98 SE. Windows came on the computer so I
don't have a disk. What do I do?

Somebody suggested copying the CAB files to a disk and inserting that.
Would that work?

Phil

Usually the cab files are on the pc in \win98 or \windows\options\cabs
on most of the insert disk prompts there is a browse button that you can
point the installer to the folder containing your cabs.

try start
find
files n folders
*.cab
to find a list of 50+ almost consecutively numbered cab files, that folder
should be your install folder

Luck

First of all, do not do this without good reason.

Very nearly all the installation routines begin
with SETUP.EXE i.e. this is the name of the
master EXEcutable that controls the installation,
including that for the Win98 Operating System.
You should not run (or rerun) any of these
without knowing why, and that it would do
you more good than harm.
