Default applications missing from Programs option in Start button

My applications are missing (deleted?) from Start -
Programs. All that is there is a game that my step-son
installed.

How do I put these links back into the Program option?

You can re-install the applications.

Have you confirmed that they have really disappeared? For instance, can you
find them somewhere else on the drive? It's common to accidentally move a
whole folder (in this case, a folder called "Programs") to some other
location.

To replace them open Explorer to C:\Windows\Start Menu\Programs and right
click to create new subfolders or shortcuts for each application. If you
create subfolders, open the subfolder to add the shortcuts.

Thanks Jeff, I'll give it a go. It'll be awhile before I
will be home long enough to research it more and apply
your solution. David
