Default cannot download files

I am looking for help on this one. When trying to download files I keep
getting the message Internet Explorer was not able to open this site. The
requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. My version of IE
is 6.0. I have not had this problem until recently. I have reloaded IE 6.0
to no avail. Short of reloading the operating system I have tried everything
that I know of to correct this problem without any luck. Any suggestions
would be more than welcomed.
Thanks,
Norm

Make sure you have SP1 with IE6. Also, try the Microsoft IE Repair Tool
available through the Control Panel. add remove (IE6) -remove- then choose
"Repair".

Hey Norm,
Are you using a HOST file??

Heirloom, old and it's too cold to ride (oh, that ought

Download SUPERAntiSpyware Free:
http://www.superantispyware.com/supe...freevspro.html

If you can't download using the above link, try this direct download:
http://downloads.superantispyware.co...ntiSpyware.exe

Right-click and Save as...

Install, launch, update and run a full system scan, cleaning everything it
finds.

Reboot and test.

Good luck,

Zee

Norm,
The HOSTS file is a Windows file and
http://www.mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm explains it's function. I thought
you may be using the HOSTS file to block spyware/parasites. It is a great
way to block ads, 3rd party crap, banners, hijackers and more. Try to
think of anything you may have changed before discovering the issue. I'm
thinking more on the line of a setting or properties, as opposed to spyware,
etc. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
Heirloom, old and youtube is cool

Try using System Restore to revert to a date before the problem
existed.

Can't you keep this crap up there? Maybe we need a northern security wall
too! Damned Alberta sent us another 5" of snow (we had over 33" in the
month of December alone) last night and sub-zero temperatures. It's -10ºF
right now and tomorrow's high is supposed to be -3ºF and low below -20ºF
with another 3-6" of the white stuff. I've got no room for my plow guy to
put anymore!!!

ROFL!! Glad to see you Merkins get a taste of what it is like to live
in the real world!! We is tough up here!! Exactly 10 years ago, the
Mayor of Toronto called in the Armed Forces to dig Toronto out!! He got
a lot of ribbing, but damn, we have had the same weather as both then
and what you are having.

I think the Loon is pretty cold down there in Texas as well. Now you
know why we breed excellent hockey players. Pansy Yanks couldn't handle
our weather.....bwa ha ha!!

Kissies......The Icicle.
