' Save To Disk '
I have another question from one of our senior members that I cannot find
the solution to, perhaps someone here may be able to help or direct me to where I may be able to get the solution. " I cannot 'save too disk' an attachment from Yahoo emails. It allows me to 'open from this location' and can then save it from a browser it puts it in, one photo at a time. Other computers like the online centre can do it so perhaps my version Windows 98se is causing the problem? Instead of saving the photo it saves a thing as is shown in the above attachment, which is an icon that can open Yahoo." Naturally I did not send the attachment, but basically it was only his email page. Any suggestions please? -- Regards Joe Tasmania |

When I test an attachment email in my Yahoo! email, the first button available,
once I'm viewing the email itself, is a "Scan and Download" option. I press that, it scans the attachment for viruses, then offers a Download button. If the attachment is an image, the new page shows the image *and* offers to Scan and Download. Pressing that prompts a standard download dialogue: Open, Save, Cancel, and More Info buttons are available. Nowhere do I see "Open from this location". I have to wonder what browser and version the senior member is using. -- Gary S. Terhune MS MVP Shell/User "Joe" wrote in message ... Gary, thank you for your reply.
Looking at the attachment that he sent me I find this on the page (naturally I can't send you a shot of it) but the text is: Virus Scan Results File name: Randstad1op250ooo.jpg File size: 850kb File type: image/jpeg Scan result: No virus threat detected. Scanned with: Keep your computer safe from Internet threats at all times. Visit the Symantec Security Connection to learn how. Download AttachmentBack to Message I assume that you can relate to that text as it appears that the attachment has been scanned and then when he tries to save it he has the problem he refers to in his email. Would it be of help to you if I wrote and asked him for more specific answers? -- Regards Joe Tasmania "Gary S. Terhune" wrote in message ... Yes, it's all familiar to me. The question is, what happens when he clicks on
that last "Download Attachment" button? And, as I said, it would be good to know what browser and what version of that browser he's using. -- Gary S.
