I'm using Dimension 4 (D4) too, but I don't have that same problem. (If
IT is throwing your clock off by 9 hours, that sounds pretty weird). DaffyDŽ wrote: I installed a program called Dimension 4, but then it threw off my system clock by 9 hours. Maybe this procedure will reset the above parameters, assuming they are broken. The data in that CurrentControlSet key derives from the appropriate sub-key
in HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Tim e Zones\your time zone. (In NT systems, it's \Windows NT\ instead of \Windows\.) The data is written when you Apply a new Time Zone. The first thing to do if you suspect corruption of that key is to choose a different time zone, apply it, and then reset to the desired TZ. If the corruption is still there, then the info in the above key is the problem. I have a download that replaces the entire TZ key with current settings, up to date -- except for Pakistan's, where they recently changed the law without much warning. I still don't know what their new law(s) prescribe for Standard and Daylight times. I need to find out and update the file. This article is the jumping off point: http://www.grystmill.com/articles/tz_update.htm Note that you may want to take the file apart and inspect the REG files. Running the EXE includes a script that uses the SendKeys method, so keep your hands off the keyboard and just watch the show unless prompted. If the script stalls or does not execute at all (lots of possible reasons), don't worry. Just Merge the appropriate REG file and then change the TZ in the Time/Date applet, apply, and then change it back. -- Gary S.
