Dialup connection problems

Hi!

I have a problem with my internet connection. I signed up
to Tiscali and whenever I

dial to connect to the internet, it says its connected
(though it really doesn't look

like it..), stays on for up to 2 minutes, and then the
connection drops.

I tried using another totally separate dialup account (an
MCI one), and it did the

same... seemed to connect, and then just bombed out after
2 minutes. I also tried

setting up new connections, one to a Freeserve server, and
one directly to my office,

and the same happens all the time.

The modem is a Conexant V92 modem, and the drivers are up
to date, so I'm not sure

what the problem is...

Any help would be much appreciated!
