Default compaq laptop overloaded with os

have old compaq laptop intel pentium ll but 166 processor32mb ram has only cd drive not floppy, dad installed win me ran out of room for program i guess it starts as far as windows start with moving line but never starts how to f-disc or remove os and replace with more comparable os (3.1?) 95? compaq can it be restored to work disney channel with comcast broadband internet service for 10 year old boy? compaq7350mt p166MHz MMX, 32MB 2.1GB hard drive built in modem


Also compaq presario 1620 laptop with power supply on bottom of motherboard nipple missing was excellent computer can be fixed? hopeless?

Boot from a floppy, Fdisk (Large Disk Support=N), make 1 big partition,
then Format, then install OS. WinME will run on that, but sloooooow, 95
or 98 (even 98SE) much better. I'd suggest 95 cuz it's the least
vulnerable to latest viruses.

Before you fdisk, make sure you have the laptop's latest drivers from
Compaq for whatever OS you are putting on it.

dunno.... what's a "nipple" ? Compaq's just plug right into the wall
don't they?

copmaq laptop 1620 has an adapter that plugs into the motherboard where it plugs in is broken off internally was told part could be ordered or it could be soildered???
