Thankyou for assistance Bert.
I am not able to find the file spoken of in the first
reference "To resolve this issue, use Windows Explorer or
My Computer to delete the Wnbootng.sts file in the Windows
folder, and then restart your computer"
If you are able to tell me how to Ill try again. This may
be the way to fix it : I have tried so many times in
various ways to get my computor out of Safe Mode .

Default stuck in safe mode

Start up the machine with a boot disk. At the Prompt type below and press Enter after
each:

cd c:\windows
dir c:\windows /p **Note: the /p switch will move the screen one page at a time by
pressing enter. If you also like to have it wide screen, then you can use the /w
switch as well. Ex: dir c:\windows /p /w

If you find the file type:

del c:\windows\Wnbootng.sts **Note: make sure of the directory and filename before
performing delete.

Once finished in DOS, type: win to reboot to Windows
