Default System tray icon re network

On my Windows XP computer, I have an icon in the system tray referring to my
peer-to-peer wireless network and telling me about speed and signal strength
on the network. The icon also lights up when there's network traffic.

The only other computer in the network is a Windows ME computer. It is
showing no equivalent icon. Can I do anything to create such an icon?

Win Me, like other Win 9x operating systems doesn't provide this option which
is only available for a connection using Dial Up Networking. Instead you will
need a third party utility such as DUMeter (http://www.dumeter.com/) however
that costs US$19.95.

Alternatively you could use Win Me's system monitor to monitor activity on
your NIC.
