Default winoa386.mod error?

OS windows 89 SE. I believe winoa386.mod is corrupted because can't get
comand prompt. Where can I get a fresh copy? Have lost the CD or CD was
never issued with my company PC. It came preinstalled maybe. Cab files are
located in C:\windows\Options, but I dont know which cab file to look for.
Any suggestions?

To add to Noel's post and the link:
First rename the winoa386.mod file in the Windows\System folder.
Then with Windows Explorer go to the C:\WINDOWS\OPTIONS\CABS folder
where you found the CAB files. Under the Tools Menu use FIND for
Files/folders. In the Named box enter *.cab and in the Containing
box enter winoa386.new. The Look In box should already be filled
in. Select Find Now. If it finds the CAB file the file is in D-click
the CAB file to open it then right click the winoa386.new file and
extract to the Windows\System folder.
Rename the file to winoa386.mod.

This will search all cab files in the folder for the file and let
you extract it.

The file may not be there depending on what CAB files are there. If
the folder contains dozens of CAB files then it should be there.
Especially if it contains the BASE4.CAB file. In my Win 98 SE CD
it's in the WIN98_51.CAB file.

Good luck.

Regards,

Bill Watt
