The CDrom drive letter may be one letter higher due to a temporary Ram drive being created. e.g. D: to E: etc. Change to that and enter Setup. If Setup tries to install into a folder like Windows.000 or something similar put the cursor in the box and change it to C:Windows. I still get the message that windows can't be install because this computer has less then the minimum required extended memory. I posted this to your other message also. That message is usually "not enough conventional memory". But try this anyway: When you boot with the Win98 Startup diskette and change to the CDrom drive enter: Setup /IM (that's an eye) That should skip the check for low conventional memory that Setup uses to de-compress files. Also after booting with the floppy enter: MEM /C Does the memory look ok? Regards, Bill Watt Computer Help and Information http://home.epix.net/~bwatt/ |
