Default MODEM SOUND

I do not get any sound of dialing when signing to my ISP.
I have turned all volume options up including the modem
sound volume. ( NOTHING )

Who is your ISP?
The AOL dialler uses direct control of the modem, and bypasses the windows
control - with the result that the modem sound may be different using AOL to
other ISP's.
Some other ISP's may use similar practices (CompuServe, etc)
