Default need to remove "Network" from Win98SE to use Outlook

Computer was not working well so I reformatted the hard drive. When I
re-installed Win98SE I intended to connect two computers, so I said it would
be a network. Now I don't want to use the second computer. Problem: Outlook
(Office 2000) will not open. Message: must connect to your Microsoft
exchange server computer at least once. How do I undo the network? I have
tried "Disconnect Network Drive," but that says "There are no network drives
currently connected."

I don't think that removing the network will solve the problem, as it is
quite OK to use Outlook on the local machine even when you are networked.
The problem is that Outlook is expecting to use an Exchange server. Try
asking your question in an Outlook newsgroup - the people there should know
how to reconfigure Outlook.

Thanks, Jeff. I'll try the Outlook site.
