Cookies "permanently" set on refusal
Please disregard my previous post.
I resolved it by uninstalling all the software installed over last week and using a Go-Back program to restore a configuration snapshot I took prior to those installations. (should have taken snapshot before EACH installation, but didn't). Anyway, that took care of the cookie freeze problem. I can now reset the cookies in IE5. Before doing all that, I tried just uninstalling both Qwik-Fix Pro Home Edition and another program I forgot to mention, MyIE2, but just uninstalling them did not restore the ability to reset cookie functionality. I am going to reinstall Qwik-Fix Pro because I am impressed with its claims of protection. This time, if the cookie problem crops up again, I will know QFP was the culprit whether or not I could find reference to cookies in the setup & settings info. thanks, BArun |
