procedure question
To those who run AVG 7.5 I've got a procedure question.
After running the AVG updater, the process seems to stay loaded even after clicking the 'OK' button after the update is successfully downloaded. Which of the following should I perceive as the best way to manage this: A. Leave the process running. B. Kill the process with PView. C. Reboot...,the one I've been doing. Thanks. |

Not sure if I understand your question. Doesn't AVG Control Centre run on boot? If so why not leave it running in the background? (I understand it has a small footprint) or do you mean the Update Window with the 30 second countdown fails to close? If the latter, can only suggest: a. Reload AVG using the latest download. http://free.grisoft.com/doc/downloads?prd=aff (March 13) b. Wait until the gurus can confirm if AVG is still compatible with ME although http://www.grisoft.com/uk.product-av...e-edition#tba3 says it is! (at least until August) Best of luck -- Delboy A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. Ok, once the countdown window appears the 30 seconds tick down and then the countdown ends and I'm left with an 'OK' button. I click it and the window disappears. Now If I were to open PView to see the list of processes currently running the AVG updater will still be running. Hope that clears up things. Sorry I wasn't clearer the first time. |
