Default choise to startup between W2K or XP after single install W2K

my computer was installed with XP, have reinstalled W2K after reformatting
harddisk (and removed XP).
when boot, PC still offers choice between both, after 30 secs starts W2K
autimatic. when I select XP, get error message; 'following file is missing or
corrupt; windows 2000 root\system32\ntoskrnl.exe, please reinstall copy of
file'.
I want my computer to start automatic with W2K, although I have removed XP!
or is there still a small part lft ?

Not that this is really a question for a newsgroup supporting those
running the Windows Millennium (Win Me) operating system however the
solution to your problem is to edit the plain text file boot.ini which is
in the root of C:\ and remove the entry referring to XP.
