Why is my Sygate Firewall rejecting 'Wuauboot.exe'?
It is not listed in the 'Applications' sector and the first time I noticed
it happening.
How can I correct it?

Harry.

Because you haven't given permission.

How can I correct it?

By allowing access although since Win Me is long out of support you aren't
going to find Win Me's Automatic Updates is going to find anything new on
the Windows Update site.

Had I given it a little more thought, I might have come up with this myself.
Does having four teeth pulled this evening present a valid excuse? g

Not unless they were hen's teeth, Harry. We've all had to undergo that
ordeal a few times in these NG's.

Hen's teeth and horse's toes by any chance?
Had no idea you could be so tough, Mart. What's my excuse now?
