Reinstalling Xp upgrade from ME disks

My computer orginally came with ME and I purchased the XP upgrade. I am
planning to purchase a new Mother Board and processor. I want a clean
install of the operating system after the new mother board/processor. I
don't want to reinstall ME then upgrade it to XP. I believe that the full XP
operating system is on the upgrade disk. How can I do the XP install without
reinstalling ME first?

You can clean install XP using your XP upgrade disks but will, during the
install, be asked to inset your Win Me CD to prove your eligibility to use
the XP upgrade version. This however only works with a Win Me CD and not
normally with a Win Me "Recovery CD" in which case you will most probably
have to install Win Me first and then upgrade.
