Blaster & Guard, Cable Modem Problem - every once in a while my internet connection drops. The lights on the modem are on but no one is at home. If I restart the computer I will be able to get back on the internet but after a little while it drops gain. I have called my ISP, and there is a good connection through the cable modem. The problem lies somewhere between the modem and the computer. To test my modem I brought my computer (WinXP-SP2) home from work. It has worked fine all weekend. Where do I begin diagnosing the problem? -- Take out the GARBAGE before replying to my address |
