How do I Create Multiple Drivers for a Printer
I have a printer that does n-up printing. Selecting the feature requires
several keystrokes or mouse clicks in the printer properties page. I would like to set up different printer drivers for my printer, one for 1- up, one for 2-up and one for 4-up. To print 4-up, I could simply select that printer in the print dialog box. However, in the printer control panel, you can't copy a printer. When I select a printer, those options are grayed out on the edit menu. Copy is not an option on the right click context menu. When I try the add printer wizard, it asks if I want to replace an existing driver. I tried renaming my first definition, but that made no difference in the wizard. It told me I was replacing a driver. I don't see why Windows would object to duplicate printer drivers. |
