You have an apparent keyboard problem as noted by lack of APPROPRIATE
capital letter use and periods. Consider fixing this as well. What exactly do you want to fix on the hard drive?
The sound problem is probably caused by the need to load the correct driver for your sound card. You really need to provide specific information when asking for help. I am not sure what the troubleshooter problem is. Do you mean that the troubleshooter in help is opening but not displaying anything in the right pane of the screen? -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "frank" wrote in message ... new user,i upgraded win95 to win98 to support dsl.98 cd said i should format my hard drive .i deleted partition and then reinstalled new partition.next i formatted c drive .i belive it said something along the lines of hard disk large enough to do in two parts.ran 98 setup at the end windows would not load.said my ms dos did not match to install startup disk .it would not start windows,so i kept tring all sorts of disk next thing you know i was in dos prompt.i was able to start windows now i have an extra drive D:/ ,C:/ drive is labled MS DOS .Ii have no sound,no windows troubleshooters will load. everything esle seams alright.is there any way to fix drive wiyhout going into dos [new user] not at all up on any commands. thanks for your help frank |
