Default how to determine motherboard?

With a Windows 98 machine, is there any way to determine what
make/model/version motherboard the PC has? Not the BIOS version, but the
motherboard itself. I took the cover off the PC, but couldn't see any
manufacturer information easily. I tried to watch the BIOS as it booted up
and it went by too quickly, but it didn't look like it identified the
information I'm looking for. The information might be in the BIOS, but I
don't know how to slow down those screens as it boots up. Any Windows
utilites to get this info? Thanks,

Joe

Several free diagnostics may be successful

When you see the POST screen where the memory count and BIOS drive =
detection is shown, press the PAUSE key on the keyboard. In one of the =
corners you should see numbers and letters that identify the bios =
version and mobo. You will then have to look up the mobo numbers to find =
out the manufacturer and model.

Once you have the string written down, press any key to continue the =
boot process.

Then motherboards.org has utilitites to help ID your mobo.
http://motherboards.org/tools/moboidtools.html

Scroll down on the page where you can enter in the full or partial =
string you noted at POST.

Find a copy of "Belarc Advisor" on the web and install it. It will tell you
everything you ever wanted (or did not want) to know about your computer's
hardware and software. Including part numbers, serial numbers and software
key codes.

Don't they each have their strong points? Granted, Belarc is a bit more
condensed.

One thing I wish they'd fix in Belarc Advisor is getting that results page
to show up more consistently (instead of a blank page, sometimes).
