keyboard + mouse problem
Hi-
I have built all three of my computers and this is the first time I have seen this: keyboard + mouse work at reboot,in BIOS, DOS, Safe Mode, etc. but not after WIN98SE starts- it just locks up. If I go to Safe Mode and remove them in device manager, during next reboot it finds new hardware and asks for the WIN98SE CD. It installs keyboard + mouse drivers, and they work fine. After the computer is turned off or rebooted, same lockup. I have reinstalled WIN98SE a few times, same result- they do not work during the first reboot or later. During the reinstall a msgsrv32 illegal operation error comes, pointing to the mmsystem.dll. Thought I took care of it, but no. Replaced the setupx.dll, still no go. Any direction to go, help appreciated. Thanks Tony
