Recycle Bin Will Not Completely Clear
When I delete files, they go to the Recycle Bin; When I
select "empty recycle bin", it will clear the files I can see, but shows an error saying it could not clear 15 files that are hidden, with one of them being a long URL filename. Is there a registry or subdirectory in DOS I can access to clear these? |

See this MS article: Cannot Delete Any Files in Windows http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;246726 You first delete the info2 index file in the Bin from Dos then delete the C:\Recycled folder. Booting to Windows recreates the folder. Regards, Bill Watt Computer Help and Information http://home.epix.net/~bwatt/ |
