try to access an MS office file (.xls or .doc) that
resides on a shared Windows 2000 from my Windows ME
machine, ME blue screens.

The article states that there is a fix and that I should
contact microsoft but doesn't tell me how. I have tried
the free support links from the microsoft site but these
tell me my copy of Me is OEM and I need to contact Packard
Bell. The Packard Bell site only gives me hardware fix
info.

Can someone confirm my only option is to pay microsoft for
support - even tho the problem is known and they have a
fix?
