Default DVD Burner Trouble

I hope someone can help with my problem. I have the hp
dvd-writer 200i and have been using it for the last two
years to burn my own home movies without a glitch using
Pinnacle Studio. Starting a couple of months ago, the
burner will only burn short projects 10 minutes. Anything
over that, it doesn't burn. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled the writer as well as reloaded the software.
Nothing seems to work and I am tired of communicating with
online HP support in India and getting no where. Any
ideas. I'm ready to go buy a new dvd writer!

Thanks
