What happens when the filename is too long?

I'm wondering if you have somehow just turned off images in your browser. (Though how you would do this accidentally I'm not sure - but maybe something else did it for you.) -- J. P. Gilliver. Secondly, using what you use to 'view' pictures is very lame; get IrfanView or AcDsee; both of these also have many many features and abilities for editing etc. (get the old versions of both.. www.oldversion.com ) Lastly, have you done a Search of your computer yet to see if you can locate the folder(s)? or even just search for a few .jpg's. In fact, if you know the date that you lost them, then while in Search, use the Advanced button to pinpoint your lost images down to the day,, or even the week. Ed |

The latest version will still run on '9x (apart from the Paint part, but that behaves - it just pops up a "won't work under '98" message). I'd say other minor tweaks that have been made over time are worth having the latest. -- J. P. Gilliver.
