Display adapter
I have had my computer off for a few weeks and when I tried to get it up and
going I have a black screen that states " If you can see this, that means that windows has successfully loaded this screen adapter" it then goes on to say " if you would like this to be on your desktop you can add thru the setting menu". Well, I can't get it off of this message, I can hear the windows chime and the beeps to mean it is loading on, but I can't see it. PLEASE SOMEONE HELP ME!!! I DON'T REALLY WANT TO DO A SYSTEM REBOOT, I DON'T WANT TO LOSE ALL OF MY PICTURES!!!! -- Billie |

You may have the display monitor plugged into the wrong port. Look for a
second connector on the back of the machine that is the same as the existing monitor cable connection, and move the cable across to the other connector and try again. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "Billie" wrote in message ...
