Hi,

Are you talking about purchased CDs or ones you burned?

For DVDs, check the settings in the DVD software that plays them, such
as WinDVD or PowerDVD(there are others).

Please don't use all caps when making a post.

Dear MM,
Hi, Thank you for responding to my posting. I am referring
to either purchased ones or ones that I have burned.
Neither will auto start. I have WinDVD but am unsure as
to how do I check the settings. Your help would be very
much appreciated. Thank you, CP
.

Have you checked the drive settings to make sure Autorun is enabled?

Right click My Computer Properties Device Manager

Select your CD-Rom, click Properties, then the Settings tab, and make sure
the autorun checkbox is ticked.
