Internet Access
Just got an Email from a friend who tried to describe a problem that some else is having while attempting to connect to the Internet. I have very little information about the set up in question nor what the relayed words, if correct, really mean. The Computer is an HP....probably with W98ME and Yahoo as ISP. The info I received is " The DSN resolution is not working: it can PING to IPS but not to URL." Failing to understand the meaning of it all, I thought simply to bring this up and hope that someone can make sense out of this. Thank you! |

Sandi, thanks for your interest in this matter!
The party that has problems in not nearby. I gave a questionaire to the friend who will be relating it to the far-away party. It might take time, perhaps. I, myself, have no idea what PING means. I have W98SE. I will communicate your suggestion. Thank you! "Sandi - Microsoft MVP" wrote: Amazing that they know ping, but not with operating system they are using....
