Changing "Open With"

I was opening an attachment in e-mail and the "open with " box came up. I
tried one thing and accidently left the "always open with" box checked. Well
needless to say, that program wouldn't open it and now I can't change my
preference. How do I change the "open with" thingy.

Use Shift+Right-Click to re-access the "Open With" dialog and change to the
correct problem.

I can't get that to work when I open it from e-mail. If I save it to
somewhere then all I have to do is right click on it and I can access "
open with ", but it still tries to open with the same old program, namely
Adobe Reader, when I open it in e-mail. It is an eml file and I guess Adobe
Reader won't open eml files. Now what?

Jeff,

Select a file of the required type (PDF in this case), Right click, Open With
and then Choose Program, browse to and select the application you want to use
to open files of this type and then check the box "Always use the selected
program ....", OK and Apply. If you don't have a PDF file available drag a
copy from your e-mail to the desktop and use that.

No, Acrobat won't open EML files. Try this fix to see if it will reset the
EML file type:
