Default Installing 98se: Web TV, Wavetop, Dialup server, Netmmeting, MS Chat

What's the deal with Web TV and Wavetop data broadcasting?

What about dial-up server? What sort of functionality does that
enable? How do I make use of it?

What about Netmeeting or MS chat 2.5?

Why doesn't the spash screen say "windows 98 - second edition" ?

Why is there an "online services" folder on my desktop when I TOLD
setup not to install it?

Just an aside note. On most HP machines, you have to hold the power
switch in for about seven seconds to force a reset. Maybe it's easier
to just unplug it. : )

Wavetop! (Slooowly, I turned!) I don't know much about it, BUT...

http://www.pcmag.com/ 's "BHOCop" found a Browser Helper Object called
"Wavehelper Class:, created by "Wavetop", that was building a
monstrosity of an error log called "Logit.txt" in here. "START, Find,
F/F, Logit.txt"-- see one?

http://www.definitivesolutions.com/ BHODemon
This one was free last I knew. It renames the BHO executable & can
"undo" that.

I have since uninstalled Wavetop at "Add/Remove Programs, Windows Setup
tab, WEB TV for Windows section". In fact, I've unchecked the whole
section-- because I already do have a TV set! "Heroes" is on tonight at
nine.

Thanks or Good Luck,
There may be humor in this post, and,
Naturally, you will not sue,
Should things get worse after this,
