CD Autorun
Windows 98
I have created a CD and use Autorun.inf to start the application on the CD. Inserting the CD would cause the application to start twice, minimizing the first running. The autorun item on the CD is a single line OPEN = filename.exe "runthisfile" I went into Device Manager, disabled the autorun, and of course it does not autorun. Went back into Device Manager and re-enabled autorun... and it ran perfectly... a couple of times. I'm back now to a double run of the application. Any thoughts? |

CD Autorun
Why did you include "runthisfile" with the open statement? I have never
seen this in an autorun file so I suggest you remove it and see if it is causing the problem. -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Earl Partridge" wrote in message link.net... CD Autorun
The application is a slide show program and the "runthisfile" is the file
name containing all the files. It would be like using Start | Run to open Word with a specific document... i.e., open = word.exe "c:\mydocuments\myfile.doc" It does work correctly on another Windows 98 machine and an XP machine.
