Default 98 versus XP Home

I am running XP Home as my main prog....but the hard
drive also has Wins 98..onboard....how can I uninstall 98
without damaging the XP....I'm only a novice and a
pensioner...so be klind to me

If 98 is on a different HD or partition then just format the HD/partition
containing 98 (insert the 98 boot disk, turn the PC on and at the prompt,
type: format drive (where drive is the letter of the drive containing
Windows 98)).

If Windows 98 is not running then there is no need to uninstall it - just
delete the files you aren't using.

If it is available as an alternative operating system each time you reboot
and you want to remove that option, then you should ask in an XP newsgroup
about how to do it. Once the boot option is removed you can then delete the
files you aren't using.
