Default Capture Printer Port

I have a problem, whereby I am printing to a network printer. It can be
printed from Windows by using \\ComputerName\PrintName network path. To
print from MS-DOS, however, the Windows tell me I have to capture printer
port. I captured the LPT port which assigned to the network path, and
checked the checkbox to reconnect on Windows logon. This works for me, but
it failed to work every one or two days, and although I see the LPT port is
still captured/assigned to the network path, I have to reassign again to
make it work.

Anyone know how to make it permanent?
