running a portable external HD with WIN98SE
I'd like some advice, please.
I've a Pentium 3, with 512meg RAM and WIN98SE. I want to buy a portable hard drive, and this one looked good value: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Toshiba-250G...75189&sr =8-2 The thing is, though, will I be able to run it on my machine? I recently installed some generic drivers, and can now rip cd's to a fairly recent Sony MP3 player because of this, so will these drivers have enabled me to use a hard disc drive like this one? And if not, will there be a 'patch' I can download to make this happen? Thanks in advance.
