Default I'm running VLC for XP on Win98se

This is interesting. I installed VLC 2.0.5 (32 bit) [from 2012] on
Windows 98se, and it works perfectly.

This version is listed for XP and higher. It's not even supposed to work
on Win 2000.

The last version intended for Win98 was ver 1.0.2 from 2009.

I wonder how this can be????
