Default EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in module unknown

I use Explorer 6 and whenever my MSN messanger (ver. 6.2) signs in, an error messages says:
This program performed an illegal operation and will be shut down etc....
When I click on debug says:
EXPLORER caused an invalid page fault in
module unknown at 0084:004dbf9f.

I found many similar articles on the Net, but nothing related to MSN messanger. I've already tried to repair explorer but it didn't solve the problem. Does anybody know how to fix this problem? Is it better to unistall MSN messanger?

unknown module errors are most often caused by malware. Please check out
the troubleshooting instructions at the URL below:

I did try to solve the problem reinstalling exlorer many times and downloading any kind of upgrade available, but it didn't cross my mind to repair MSN (silly me). After following your suggestion, everything seems fine.
Thank you very much for your help.
