Question about pendrive
As I can know if one pendrive loaded with an operating system is "boot" or
is a simple copy of hard disk. My BIOS does not allow me to verify it. Thanks |

Question about pendrive
It is possible to make a pendrive 'bootable'. For example - you could make a
bootable WinMe Startup pendrive (instead of a floppy disk). BUT, it requires your motherboard's BIOS to permit booting from a USB device. This feature is (usually) only available on 'recent' motherboards. And, as you are posting to a WinMe newsgroup, I would guess that you have an 'older' motherboard. BTW - you can't simply just "copy" the contents of an operating system - the pendrive (or floppy disk for that matter) must first be 'conditioned' as a 'bootable' device (System Disk) before it will boot. Mart:
Thanks , you are right, I have Winme, an older motherboard and -by the way- the pendrive is not mine. Alcot "Mart" escribió en el mensaje ... It is possible to make a pendrive 'bootable'.
