Default Internet Access

For months and months I have been using AOL Version 8.0
and have been able to log on to the Internet without any
problem. One morning, however, during my logging on
activities, I got as far as the AOL message saying '
Requesting Network Attention' when my desktop screen went
dark and suddenly an error message popped up....
Windows
Fatal exception 0E has occurred at 0028:C007C19C in VXD
NDISWAN(01) + 000013A0. The current Application will be
terminated.......etc.

Since that time, I have not been able to get on the
Internet. The same message keeps appearing, although, at
times, the (memory?)location has also been shown as
0028:C007D708.

I've also noticed that when all this occurs, an icon shows
up at the tray area (taskbar). This, if activated, shows
that some sort of connection to the Interned is valid, but
the screen shows nothing of the sort. Additionally, I
have problems closing AOL or performing other activities.
It's sort of messy and sooner or later I have to reboot to
do do anything else besides logging on.

Incidentally, I have no problem connecting using a spare
Hard Disk with a clone operating system and AOL software.
I use a dial up connection.

Does all this sound familiar to anyone?
Would anyone know what Drivers or Files (Windows or AOL)
come to play at that time of the logging stage?

Thank you!

That file (NDIS) is part of dial up networking - you haven't told us what
operating
system you are using which makes things a bit difficult, but here is
general advice on removing and reinstalling DUN:
