Splash screen Win 98se

How do I change the windows 98 splash size screen during bootup? It
currently takes up the whole screen and I just want it to be small.
Also it seems to take a long time going through this part of the
bootup. System is 500 p3 processor with 576 mb ram. Any ideas?

I don't think you can do what you want. A custom splash screen has to be a
certain size (320 X 400 X 256 colors) or Windows will not use it. What I
suggest is that you shut the splash screen all the way off so you can see
what is happening during boot. I saw one virus that operated behind the
splash screen and deleted the system using a deltree command from the
autoexec.bat file.

You can use Tweak UI or modify the msdos.sys file.

Right-click the TweakUI.inf file and select install. Should a notice appear
saying a disk is required, click OK and another screen appears. Click
browse, go to the folder containing Tweak, OK and OK.

I think you can just hit the Esc key (when the Splash Screen is showing) and
the Splash Screen will disappear so that you can see behind it.
Have to do this each time though.
