Clean install but computer can't find a bunch of files
I just did a clean install of win98 but computer finished up with error #2
saying setup could not finish opening a file on the source disk. Then it went through a rather long list of the files that could not be found. It was looking in C:\Windows\System\Precopy for the files. It wasn't there. How do I install win98 so that it automatically builds that file??? Thanks much!!! --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com). Version: 6.0.711 / Virus Database: 467 - Release Date: 6/25/2004

I figured out I used a boot disk for win98 OEM and installed with
a retail cd. That caused the problem. "Jenny" wrote in message ...
