fatal exception error when opening 'my computer'

Default fatal exception error when opening 'my computer'

When I double click on 'my computer' the monitor goes blue
and gives the error message 'fatal exception 0E has
occurred at 0028:00000013'
can anyone tell me what this means and how I can fix it
I am running win 98 Se
