Default start up error

I am currently getting the message "stmgr has caused an error in Wintrust.dll
and will now close". I close the box, the system boots normally. How can I
correct this error. I can't find any info related to it on the knowledge
base at MS. thanks,

I have replied to your post in windowsme.software. Unfortunately I feel
