Default windows ME

My neighbor has ME and the computer keeps shutting off.
Could it be a worm? Is their a fix.

Could be a number of things, if it's just shutting down randomly or
after a certain amount of time, it may be a hardware-related problem;
ie: power drop or heat.

Could you be more specific?

Riok,

The computer is shutting off pretty soon aftet it is
turned on. If it was a heat issue wouldn't ther be an
error message?

Only if the issue was the cpu running too hot.



Does your system exhibit the same tendencies in SafeMode ?

How soon is "pretty soon" ?

Have you checked ControlPanel/PowerOptions ?
