Default Service Packs for Win98SE

Hi.

I got a request to upgrade a users PC from Win98SE to Win98SE service pack
"C."

I've never heard of a "service pack c" for win98se.

Anyone know about this, or about how win98se updates are named?

TIA

John

Hi John,

The only Service Pack I can find is Customer Service Pack listed
in the article below which is available by phone. There have been
many Updates and Hotfixes released over the yeas, most via
Windows Update.

There is a SP1 for W98 but there is no SP for W98SE. Use the Update Manager
(C:\WINDOWS\WUPDMGR.EXE) for W98SE updates.

At times some Compaq computers came with Win95c or Win98c
which was for a short time a Compaq configuration of
Microsoft's Win95 or Win98. I'd try to find out what
utility or option customer thought he wanted and proceed
from there. Hope this helps.

There is no such thing as Windows 98 Service Pack "C" or Win98c, not even
from Compaq.
