Missing hard drive

OK, you can stop looking into this now, everyone!! I just
can't cope with the deluge of responses!!

Although I have still not found a solution to the problem,
I did find a workaround: I changed the mobile drive from
the Secondary Slave to the Primary Slave.

there is no drive-letter allocated to the mobile drive!

PC1 correctly recognises the mobile drive, whichever one
is in place!

Have tried disconnecting the controller cable, running
the "install new hardware" wizard.
